In partnership with HBO’s new documentary #StormOverBrooklyn, myself, Aaron Mu, Bashea Williams Stevon Lewis present What’s Good Bro? Brotherhood Mental Health Check-In Part 2.
The film tells the story of #YusufHawkins, a Brooklyn teen who was tragically killed in 1989 in Bensonhurst.
During this session, we touch on the impact of racism on mental health, how we take care of ourselves as black men and therapists, addressing stigma, and the importance of support.
We are here as Black men, fathers, partners, friends, AND therapists! Check out this discussion and the documentary Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn, which is now available on HBO & HBO Max.

Rwenshaun Miller is an accomplished author, motivational speaker, counselor, consultant and philanthropist who has dedicated his life and career to, not only reshaping the negative connotations often associated with mental health, but also directly impacting the lives of those living with mental health challenges. He is the founder of Eustress Inc., a nonprofit to educate others and break the stigma associated with mental illness in underserved communities. He is also the co-founder of the Good Stress Company, a private practice providing therapeutic services.

He earned Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Psychology and Afro-Ethnic Studies from California State University, Fullerton, and have a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Long Beach.
